The GTI1500 is back at home ... it was at Garrett
for a new coil ..which they arguably could have blamed on me ..

New coil, battery holders and Batterys ,cable and
recalibrated all No $$$ PLUS when i was talking with
Sue on Wed i mentioned that i had a planned hunt this weekend
and that ID pay air frt $$$ to have it Friday ( tommorrow)

The GTI was on my porch 1030 this AM when i got back from
the store...Air no $$$

I called and asked Brad to please thank Sue for me and i also
sent an email to Garrett...

AND i got a heavy duty case while the unit was being repaired..
I think the dings and dents in the coil may have come from riding
in the back of the truck unprotected ...

At any rate Ill stick with :garrett: stuff im sure other mfgs are good but thats ok ....

:usaflag:Does'nt get much better than that in the service dept.....Have fun!

I think I may send my GTI-2500 in for a check up before November. I plan to take it with me on a trip and I want to make sure I get the new chip they are putting in the 2500 models for ground mineralization. I don't know if that's a problem in Holland, but it will be worth the expense on my part to make sure everything is in working order for my trip. When I compare the service at Garrett's to the people that sell the Worx battery operated weed eater, there is no comparison at all. When I sent them two emails about the defective batteries and got no response, I finally conceded defeat and called for a return merchandise order and they sent me this paper work, but made absolutely no attempt to satisfy me as a customer and offer to send me some replacement batteries. If I buy something from someone, I don't complain about the price if I get what I pay for. But, customer service is everything to me and when you don't back up what you sell, I don't do business with you anymore. I will stick with Garrett's until the cows come home, but I would not spit on Worx's and their products. Garrett's wants my business and Worx's does not. End of conversation.

Yep, you have to see it to believe it. Service that is second to none.
They care about their customers. I have been one for over 30 years.
I am impressed with them and I don't impress easily. They do things
that you just don't expect. Very, very nice things.
Other manufacturers have good service departments too, I am sure,
but with Garrett service is well beyond good.

Glad you were impressed too Ron.
Good hunting to you ! Gene

Yeah Garrett's service is above and beyond and that's what keeps folks coming back. When you have dedication and service like that there is no point in going anywhere else. It doesn't get any better.
