:garrett: Pro Pinpointer?

Look at it this way ,a pointer is better than no pointer.I have had whites pointer it does ok ..if you have never used one it does the job.But once you get the Pro pointer its a different story. You can alwas uses the whites pointer as a back up or a loaner to some one.

I've been looking to upgrade to the Garrett Pro Pointer, but thought I'd wait to see reviews of the Minelab Pro-Find 25 Pin Pointer due out the past April.
Due to the delay releasing it, I just fired off an email to Minelab for any update that they can hopefully provide. If no reply, I'll be more than happy to pick up the GPP.

The Garrett pro pointer has become the pinpointer of choice for most detectorists. I own two of them and two or three of the White's Bullseye II jobs, BUT....my pinpointer of choice is one of the old White Bullseye pinpointers. I own two or three of them but one - only one - is really HOT. It has a much greater reach than anything else I own. I don't know why that one is so superior to all the others, though. If I hold the trigger on it depressed (actually, it's a button switch) the field continues to grow until after ten seconds or so it will "see" a dime at about four inches, a nickel or quarter or penny considerably farther. No other pinpointer has ever approached that for me...even when "supertuning" (adding metal to the pinpointer field just short of switching).

Would not want to hunt without it, i have a sunray probe also but if i had to give up one it would be the sunray probe,i love the pro pointer.

I currently use Sun-Ray in-line probes on my GT and DFX. If I were to go back to a hand held probe it would have to be a Garrett. HH. Matt

IMHO = In My Humble Opinion

i did hear back last week from Minelab.
Not before this Fall, no price set.
