Garrett Groundhog

I have an Ace 250 but i didn't appreciate it fully until i bought a pinpointer.
Thx to Maineman for "pin" pointing me in the right direction. Now I wouldn't
Of detecting w/out the pinppointer. So I would recommend the 250 with a pinpointer.
 
I still have not heard back from the guy since I offered him $100.00 for it lol, I think he might be insulted, and maybe ashamed that he was wrong about what he has. Maybe he actually did the same research I did after talking to me who knows, all I can say is I'm glad I came here before paying $300.00 for it lol.
 
I finally got back here to update you all, just in case you were wondering where I went haha. I finally found a local store that had an online store that I could purchase the Garret 250. I was pushing it because of waiting for an answer from the guy with the groundhog, and only ordered it on Dec 21st or so, but low and behold this store had guaranteed delivery time, and it only took 1 day to get to me, I was so happy. On Christmas Day my husband was thrilled when he opened it, he recognized the name Garrett as being a top of the line detector, so I did good lol. Now we have to wait to try it out though since we have 6 feet of snow right now lol. Thanks so much for everyone's help here. I am so glad I found this forum before paying that guy what he wanted for the groundhog.

Great news. You have chosen an excellent metal detector and I am sure your husband will be happy with it.
Don't hesitate to ask the members of this forum any questions that you may have re this detector and anything else about metal detecting in general.
