Garrett customer service

They gaved me new fresh batteries and a new cover coil along with a new detector

I sent my Garrett GTI2500 in on January 20, 2013 for the second time for the same same problem. The detector would start to make the "overloading" sound after twenty minutes or so of use and would not stop making the noise, even after turning off and on, removing and replacing batteries, resetting, etc. The first time in they relaced a chip (or something) and the coil. No charge. This was March of 2011. Now same problem and yesterday Garrett says they're going to charge me $169 to repair. I understand it's been over a year since the last repair, but this is the SAME ISSUE and a $1500 dollar machine that is supposedly the "FLAGSHIP" of the Garrett fleet! As a side note, this is also the second Garrett machine I've bought having started with the Ace 250 prior to "upgrading" to the 2500. (The ACE is still going strong, thank, God!) Yesterday, I asked Garrett to have a service manager call me to discuss. No phone call so far.

I need to report that Mira, at Garrett, got back to me. After her supervisor reviewed my situation they have agreed to do the repairs under warranty. Problem solved, no hard feelings and THANK YOU Garrett!

Mailed my Pro Pointer in for repairs last Thursday and got a new one the following Friday.
