Saw one using ShoeGoo to do the same thing, altho I doubt that 'any' depth is correct. At some depth all of them will fail.
Thanks Kin for responding but not the same thing in the least. I'm not talking about covering your ProPointer in glue. 'Any' depth may have been a stretch. For most hunters in most situations, the Platidip fix will suffice.
I don't know your experience with Plastidip or its variants, but I have used it on tools for well over 2 decades. And here's a tip: PAY CLOSE ATTENTION to the stuff if you are counting on it to waterproof your PP. It easily abrades and tears, even thick coats, and youll need to reapply often. Of course, 'too often; and youll lose detecting depth!
