Hi have put new batteries in my detector,but it won't work.Coild you please help.

Thanks for that The story so far is my husband bought it second hand,didn't,t try it out (unbelievable)He has just noticed there are leakage stains on screen from batteries.Will this ever be able to be put right please.thanks.

The darn battery doesn't have a polarity mark for installing the battery in the detector.
If flipping it doesn't work.
Maybe send it in to Garret for repairs.
It's supposed to be waterproof.
Contact them.

I marked my battery holder and battery socket with a scratch awl. A cheap ingraver would work wonders.

Their is a + and - mark on detector at lower right and left sides of battery compartment
