But whenever I see kids with detectors I always have the same reacion - "Oh nooooo! More competition! :nono: "
Come to think of it, I have that reaction whenever I see someone else with one...

Dont you think theyd like a nice video game, instead?

I once helped my daughter do a science project with metal detectors. It was fun for both of us and she got an honorable mention at the regionals.
She remembers it to this day.
