Well.....to be honest....it's working.....but when it is all done it still may turn out to be junk.....but you at least have got a good start on it. It works good on other metals as well.

Oh! Good idea!! I’ll do that and let ya know!! Thank you, so much! One thing I would check is try a magnet and see if it stick to it as chance are then it would be iron, if it dont then keep trying. Myself the unit I have is adjustable voltage and I use salt water and turn up the voltage once in a while while watching it so you dont over do it.
I have a good friend down in FL hitting many of the beaches and has found many nice finds and that he has cleaned up good. I know on the gold ring and silver he put them in the rock tumbler and dont know what he uses to clean them with.
One of the find that are shown looks like maybe a crown cap off the old pop bottle and think if it is it will probably be ate up before it is cleaned. Try the magnet first and if it is iron and save a lot of time.

Well….all three stick to a magnet, is that a bad thing or a good thing?Oh! Good idea!! I’ll do that and let ya know!! Thank you, so much!

Awesome
Maybe I’m just being hopeful for you, but on the last picture, nearer the crust has been eaten off, there are some lines that appear to run in a different direction from most of the etching lines. In the little “C“ area encompassed by the crust, two lines appear to get closer together then mushroom out and come back together like the cap of a mushroom with a little bump on top. The bump is partly hidden by the top of the “C“ of the crust, as is the left of the mushroom part and the middle right of the mushroom part. This shape is vaguely reminiscent of some of the towers of Hercules I have seen on some old Spanish coins.
Maybe I’m just staring at it too much. Does anybody else see that?
It sticks to the plain exposed silver, but there is still crust on the other sideMy question is does a magnet stick to the crust or does a magnet stick to what is inside?
Here’s the back with the crust still onView attachment 39584View attachment 39585
Was trying to get you some more angles ….should keep trying to clean it? I got nervous when the silver wasn’t flaking off and staying solid, lol
Ive found many silver dimes in that condition. By the time you get all the crust off there's usually not much there but a very thin sliver of metal. I usually take a hammer to them as in this condition they are not worth anything but scrap. The coins or whatever are so corroded there probably wont be any detail left. Take the crustiest one and smack it !!!I don’t know how to safely remove enough corrosion to tell what these actually are…one looks like a coin, one looks like maybe a pendant of some kind…possiblyView attachment 39486View attachment 39487View attachment 39488View attachment 39489View attachment 39490
