Very cool looking ring! Seeing finds like that makes me want to take the pick axe to the frozen ground here in the Michigan!

Is there a marking on it? It looks to me like it may be a high karat gold.

I looked and could not find one

But it was our guess that the Ring was at least 14K

The only explanation for the lack of the Karat mark is it may have been made smaller
or was hand crafted and often the artist will not place a Karat mark

Just a guess but I will bring it to my jeweler but I have no doubt about the Gold since I saw how it came out of the dirt
and I had three other Gold Rings found to base that on

Normally our Winter would be as yours but this has been the BEST WINTER EVER and the ground has never frozen

Of course we are hearing Doom and Gloom about strong winds coming and temps in the 20's
However, next week Wednesday and Thursday are in the 50's

Good Luck and Regards

that's great! I too have been hunting in a "hunted out park" I pulled 3 mercs and a silver ring last week and today got a silver Rosie, canadian silver, and another silver ring! some of the parks here in WNY especially the tonawandas have been beat to death by MDers over the years. I guess they didn't have an E-trac! saw some "new" plugs this time out at the park, so I guess it's still givin!

congrats on the Gold !!! I can't wait to find a Gold something or other..I found two last year with the ACE..now it's the E-tracs turn!

Nice gold ring Eva, wow! I have not found a gold ring yet and you have 4 from one park!! Congrats.

Cool finds......

Me and Ray-Mo were detecting a spot one time and I got a nickel signal while running the trashy park pattern. I had to call Ray over to witness that one. It was a gold womens ring. I have hit quite a few rings that come up in the nickel range. That is why I will even dig the signals that do not register real clean in the nickel notch.

Awesome Eva, you are inspiring me to hit my worked-out parks here and start digging those pulltab signals. Silver is far and few between in them now, but I bet there is some gold hiding. Sounds like FUN!!

Eva, that is a very beautiful ring! Congratulations to you and thanks for the pictures.
