Found a great digging tool!!

I have been using the Lesche hand digger for about 5 years. Nothing out there beats the quality of a Lesche. I'm getting ready to order the Relic hunter digger. I can't wait to get it. I know it will be worth every penny.

I bought this for under $10 and have beat the heck out of it here in rocky central mass...has stayed sharp and tip is excellent on chopping roots and serrated edge is great for roots also..believe this tool will last as long as high priced ones....from thier site: " Sharp heat treated carbon steel blade cuts through the ground easier "..going to buy their digging shovel for this spring. Was just on Kellyco and noticed they are now selling the Fiskars digging spade.

I like my Nisaku Soil digging knife, can't see spending the money on leshe, though i had one once

Bought this at Home Depot for $10. I would buy one of these and carry it with you just in case your unbreakable lesche breaks. You'll beglad you did.

The Relic hunter is my next purchase. Looking at Colonial MD..they carry several models of Lesche. FWIW, I put my Lesche to the test a few days ago...dug a large target (thick aluminum plate) about 6 inches down,..got the digger up and underneath the target then stood (with all my 200lbs) on the handle to pry the target out. Didn't even phase the Lesche. I'm sure the relic hunter is just as tough! HH:usaf:

I'm ordering mine from Colonial Metal detectors also. They have really good prices. I'm ordering a Garret pro pointer also and get free shipping!! As far as digging tools go, I've tried quite a few over the years and i can say 100% Lesche is the best.

You must buy quality tools and most important things to sure it and dont forget to see the package of the product.............thanks pls link this ...

Anyone ever use a bulb planter for coins. I found a heavy duty long handled one you can use your foot to sink into the ground it actually works great for soils that are not like cement nice clean plug you can drop back into the hole

Yep. I've used Colonial and they have excellent customer service, great prices and ship quickly.

It all depends where and what you are going to dig. If your hunting is strictly coinshooting at local parks and playgrounds you do not need a more expensive digger because your targets will be in easy ground and not very deep for the most part. However if you are going out to old homesteads and other out of the way places you may want to consider a Lesche or some such. Let common sense rule.

Good point.

:)

were is the lesche 30 dollars

I use the Minelab digger I got with my X-terra I purchased a few years ago. It's alot like the Lesch in its design. The only thing about it I dont like is the rubber grip keeps tearing. I keep replacing it and it keeps going. I've heard people complaining about bending and breaking their digging tools. I just cant even imagine breaking mine, the thing has never even came close to failling on me. Now I dont stand on mine or even pry very hard with it. I just dig the plug and use some small shears to cut thru the roots if in the way. When hunting in the woods I use a small shovel but still take my ML digger in case I need it. I think for what most people do the digging tools from Lowes and Sears will work fine. I know a guy that uses the one from Lowes and it works fine for him.

I used one like your speaking of. It will break if applied pressure is at an angle..Nearly broke my wrist when it let go.. So watch how you use it.
The heat treated Lesch is overall the best digger around and well worth the added expense..
