For those that have use a modded cibola and a vaq...?

well i don't know about anyone else but i can tell 99.99% of the time when its not gold :lmfao:

i come from the Chinese water torture detecting school of just keep digging and eventually it will crack :punch:

been digging stuff for a few million targets and well the gold i have found has all sounded different, so i trust the detector to find it but i don't trust it to tell me its gold i need to see with my eyes and that is the final discrimination as far as i can see

really the answer is :bouncy:

I have a Silver uMax I can compare with, but I dont know how it compares to an obsolete Bandido.

It's all good.

Bandido obsolete, no way. Tesoro still sells it, rebadged as the Outlaw. The Tigershark also has the Bandido circuitry inside it.
And the Tigershark is one of the best fresh water machines if you want to find small gold and silver jewelry.

You can't buy a new Bandido, but they're not obsolete.

Got it....

i think my Cibola has found the most gold and then the Outlaw, i used the V today its ok but its always been a screamer for me which i don't really like but it sure lets you know there's a target there but like Sven said its not very modulated what i think is something deep can be small can slaw on the 1st 1" .

i do like the Outlaw or B2 if you like depending on what you are using have a Eldorado 2nd Gen to try out this winter too.

i like the V for coin hunting with higher disc and both the HOT machines do best gold hunting with the CSC i have had good results with that set up.

not really used the 5 pin CSC much so cant say like the mono's on the 5 pins for gold they are so much more mellow to use than the V .

don't forget the Compadre found gold with both the 6" mono and the 7" DD which is an interesting detector.

so they all work no 2 ways just what coil and machine set up works best for you, and i don't know what works best for you, have spend cash to find out like me :poke:

but hey as detectors go Tesoro's are cheap the Tesoro coils work and are probably the cheapest on the market so what's not to like

they are light look like toys and work don't draw to much attention so win win i recon.

look totally off topic and a nice change up

found these both in the same hole 100 years old very strange :yikes: like just a couple weeks ago.

unfortunately not with a Tesoro .

but still a 1st for me 2 same date 100 year old silver shillings in the same hole.

we really did have some nice coins back then, nothing against your US coins i like seeing them, but ours are better  Just real Aussie stuff, wish they were still so kool !! the scroll says "Advance Australia"

I've heard you say that before, so is it just a bandido or are there real differences? Besides the retune button.
Is it a lower tone like the compadre or high like the bandido?

they are the same 630 hz

read the manuals they sound real similar to me.

so yes they would sound the same or real similar.

like the Cibola is 293 hz

so there is differences in sound.

B2 has the retune its just a switch not a button.

Ok cool. We'll at least I know one model no don't need to buy. Haha.
I like the higher tone personally

None if these detectors has a really large advantage over the other. The HOT detectors may be slightly deeper. The Bandido may be (Although I haven't found it to be true) a little more stable.
Any one of them can bring home the bacon. I think its just a matter of learning the machine and using it.
I know that sounds like I'm talking out of the side of my mouth considering the number and models and machines I list in my signature below but I don't have to completely practice what I preach.

Theory and practice are 2 different animals.
I agree completely, but it's hard to use just one.... haha

After watchi MG the outlaw on youtube, it has a lower tone. The bandido is a higher pitched beep.
I agree the outlaw is higher than the cobola.
