woo, I got fooled again, , found a ring and i thought finally I found Gold , but on closer look it was plated, and the rug got pulled out from under me again, . the lighter seems from the 70,s early 80,s and has a brass cover with owls and turquoise decorations Kinda neet but it was in the ground a long time and I cant get it off

Eventually you will get real gold. As for lighters, have you found any zippo lighters?

Congrats on the great recoveries!!! If you submerge that lighter in water or something like wd40 or diesel fuel. You should be able to get that lighter out of the case. Might take a couple days of soaking & you might need to tap on the plastic lighter while holding the lighter case in hand.
