Left the equinox at home and brought the 540 this year.
Very impressed with this detector.
Handles black sand beautifully.
Small items hit hard.
Been on 5 hunts so far.

Great to hear !! I have a440 myself. also have a nox 600 which I will give a major workout on the OBX beaches this fall. Glad the 540 performs well for you.
