Five minutes = $100

Last Saturday afternoon, I was getting ready to try a few new spots with a friend of mine when the phone rang. "Do you rent metal detectors?" was the man's question. It seemed a local friend had lost his very expensive gold and diamond bracelet the previous night. "My friend stepped out of the truck and fell off into a ten foot ditch. We've been on our hands and knee's looking for it since daylight, and can't find it." I told the man I would be there in about thirty minutes. "What will you charge me?" he asked. Whatever you feel is appropriate, I have no set fee. Although I have several detectors with me, I grabbed the Silver u/max and carefully worked my way down into the steep drainage ditch. It's a miracle the guy didn't get seriously hurt. Big rocks were all around. It took me about five minutes to find the bracelet. Probably had 80 diamonds in it. The man gave me $100 and insisted I take it. We both were happy. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
