Is that little round dot on the center of the plastic on the 11" DD coil where the pin pointing should be?

Just an update.
I went to a park and a beach yesterday "useless with out a sifter!" and it was quiet and not beeping all over the place. So I guess it is just the ground in my backyard that is full of crap!
Never found much, mostly junk and a 1964 penny, but had fun!
