Fisher 15" Double D ***HOLY CRAP**

man that thing would kill me on the end of my F75 SE lol

Brawler, I'm with you, I just don't get it. I've had $300 burning a hole in my pocket for 6 weeks now and all I need is a good field test...very frustrating and anti-climactic.

Sorry I made a post that I wouldn't be doing any more vids on the coil because i decided to return the 15" i did the vids but the results where not worth posting air test was 12" on a quarter on both coils I hunt many areas where the emi interference is bad I can almost never run 99 sense-- so the test was done at (Sense: 82) (Disk: 15) (3 tone) (notch 0) due to the poor results at these settings and weight and the strain on my arm I returned it.

Diggin,

I knew you returned your coil, thanks for the update. I have actually been waiting on CalCobra :poke: to post his results...

Diggin,

Thanks for filling us in on your results. It's even MORE IMPORTANT that you post these kind of results and save us money. I was beginning to think that the coil was a poor performer, and you decided to sell it, but did not want to post the bad results so people don't get turned away from buying it or something along the same lines. Glad you were able to return it.

SO why not post a video of the bad results? Too often people only post to "show off" how well their machine performs, and rarely so for true testing purposes. Just think how much money you just saved me and wharghoul.

If you still have date from your testing please post it.

We still need more tests to get conclusive results under different EMI and soil conditions. So lets keep this thread alive please?

I just got back from the better part of a week of ghost town hunting. The 15" coil stayed home as the sites are far too trashy, and the coil is far too heavy for those areas.

I'm going to try to get it to a particular park this weekend for some deep old coin shooting - stay tuned

I totally agree, consumer and fellow Diggers should know both side product if you have the helpful info to give.

Ok here is the video remember the emi interference is bad in this location and most locations I hunt. I just figured that I don't need that silver coin bad enough to offset the shoulder repair surgery I will need in a couple years swinging that thing and in my area i don't see the depth increase.

Thanks for the post. Looks like we need more tests with less interference. Maybe do some large soda can sized objects for cache hunters. But seems like this is not going to be the best coil for coin shooting. WIll be sitting on my money for now.

I'm not a big air test fan, I have a few spots with bad emi also in my area and to keep it stable i've been at 40 sen and still dug targets 6-9 inches. Most silver i've dug have all been around 4-6 inches on avg. Now I have pulled a 10" barber with a nail near it and a wheatie at 11 with the stock coil. On a street tear out i had to run at 20 sen (stock coil)and was digging targets at 6+.

Side note: The more Disc you apply to the F75 the senstivity actually increases, On other detectors the more disc you apply you will loose power and will need to up the sensitivity. Also the F75 sensitivity goes into boost at 30+ sensitivity. With the F75 SE/Ltd's less is more :)

For me I like to test on a well seasoned test garden with targets at various depths etc.

I sold my 15inch it was ripping my arm off and for my areas the 11 inch coil is to big in most places, I think its a good coil and will go deep but it all depends on area and how well you know your machine.
(Fisher Please Make an 8inch :).

I never run more than 15 dsk but at 40 or 50 sens your limited to 3-6" on coins might as well get a cheap detector for that most of the time i use the 5" DD its a great coil I can get 5-9" on a penny in heavy trash or iron sites.
I really got rid of the 15" because of the weight and the strain on my arm.

Guess it all depends on your ground, i can get 6-9 with the 11inch at 40 sen
