First water hunt of the year....

First time in the water this year. Work has had me too busy. Two short hunts at an old resort swimming area in the upper peninsula of Michigan and two short hunts in Lake Superior. Got a 1936 wheat cent, 4 toy Spanish treasure coins, $1.65 in clad, a nice bracelet, 30 fishing sinkers, many misc, and an antique St Michael pendant. It had been in the water for a long time. You can see it encrusted in black in the pic with the toy coins. Electrolysis cleaned it up good.

Nice finds Mike! Congrats--even the toy Spanish Coins look good but would have been far lot better for you if they were genuine! Ma

Hey Black Hat, Congrat's on the water hunt. I really like the St. Michael medallion. It's funny you posted this today. I have just about finished reading the book "Those Damned Black Hats" ( The Iron Brigade In The Gettysburg Campaign). This is a great read and gives a great account of the hard fought Iron Brigade. This was written by Lance Herdegen. If you enjoy reading about the Iron Brigade and haven't read this, I could highly recommend it . And I'm from Georgia. Again, nice saves on your hunt.

Another great read is Killer Angels (about the battle at Gettysburg)
