First "war" nickel and interesting token

Agseeker

New member
Finally found my first "war" nickel with the E-Trac (1944D) yesterday. Today I found a token that reads "LEWIS NEWS & CIGAR CO." on one side and "GOOD FOR 5 (cents symbol) IN TRADE" on the other side. It appears to be aluminum and the same size as a nickel. Anyone ever seen one of these? I couldn't find anything about it on the internet. Sorry, no picture; I don't have a digital camera.

Congrats on the war nickel - I am still waiting to find one of those! What did it ring in as on the etrac?
