First try with mixed mode and tot lots

Took the V3i out for some tot lotting and decided to give mixed mode a try. All I can say Is I loved it. Love having the all-metal in one ear and the motion in the other. All you have to do is listen for the stereo. Junk/iron makes a sound on the left side while false signals only came in on the right. When ever I got a signal on both left and right it was good. Hearing signals in all-metal made finding very small targets easier. In motion mode you can easily mis very small targets because the sound is so short. In all-metal the sound is larger. I found quite a few very small sequins and a straight pin. I also was very surprised to find quite a few extremely deep coins that have been missed for a long time by the other detectors. I could tell because they are encrusted with sand showing they have been there a long time. Also found a 10k gold necklace.

What coil where you using in that mode?

I was using the stock 11" 2D coil. I'm going to try my 6x10 DD and see how well it works. I was just very impressed with the very small targets mixed mode helped to find.
