Just had a real nice conversation with Mike over at First Texas. Super nice guy! We spoke about First Texas service dept. and how they are really trying their best to get it right. So many times people want to knock and complain about a companies service without really understanding the whole picture. I have even been guilty of it! My hats off to First Texas for really trying to put the customer first and getting out a quality product. Yes they have had some problems but rest assured they are definitly working on getting it corrected.. Just to hear that coming from them made me realize that they are out to do the customer right! Thought I would pass this along to everyone.

I also spoke to Mike Scott and he is supposed to e-mail me the FED EX tag to ship mine back on. Mine does have the software glitch. They say turn around time is usually just one day. So they should be able to upgrade the software in 1 day which is very good in my opinion.

happy to hear that as i may take the plunge again and buy!

I say not always because I went through "hell" in getting satisfaction from BH when it should have been taken care of efficiently the first time. I persevered and eventually got what I requested the first time. I won't name names but perhaps the customer service of BH &FISHER should train the people that answer the phones to be more considerate in passing on the calls to people who can REALLY handle the subject matter.

With FISHER, it was about getting information and requesting an item.

With BH it was about getting an item that was made impossible to get but eventually I got it. If I had given up, I would not be ahead of the game as I am now.

Which is really an excellent detector with one problem, the bottle cap which will read like a coin.
The issue is the 11" DD loop, and he said it was made with no plans for a concentric.
So, we can only hope an after market company does so. I wonder if they could add a co-axial loop,
or a Stat mode in a future chip
If so, you are not going to see T-2's for sale used.:hot:

I think they are trying. I hope others are given the choices on the costs to fix the detectors. And not treated how I was. They have an outstanding product and I won't switch until I have to. As with any company that aquires others, they have a learning curve they have to go through. It really looks like they have someone that is helping a great deal and that is Mike.

I just got my return shipping label to return my F-70. First Texas is doing exactly what they said and I applaud them for that.

Mike

I doubt many old Fisher Employees moved so most individuals are First Texas previous employees and it will take time to familarize themselves with older Fisher units made before they came together..I just had some dealings with them and it is obvious a transition period is in order so be patient...

I just recieved a nice eMail from Mike. I understand more about MY situation. I can accept his answers. As I said earlier I do think there is a learning curve. I am still bothered as to why I recieved a rusted out waterlogged machine back that wasn't mine and why it sat in the VP's office for a long time without anybody contacting me.

HOWEVER, They make an OUTSTANDING product and I have 3 of them, 2 CZ-21's and a CZ-20. I know the machine and I wouldn't trade them for any other out there.

I do wish the company great success and I will buy from them again. Mike, I feel they need to move you to a higher position in the company!! Thanks for your help here and I am sure a lot of others do appriciate you!!

To be made; #2 is relative to #1 and so forth...........
The reason they don't like to give out info on trimmers is that its too easy for WE USER'S
to go too far and throw everything out of adjustment, and next thing you know the detector is WACKO.:stars:.
(and a trip to the factory is needed & warranty is voided and you are minus a detector for the duration)

They GAVE YOU THREE DETECTORS in place of one "rusted out waterlogged" machine that
belonged to someone else? MINE, is on the way!
(I wonder how many I could get for a temporarily misplaced C$, Edge, Excel, and CZ-70Pro-
no WAY I'm giving up my F-75 for a temporary lose!):lol::lol:

Then tell them to take aim at producing some DVD's to go with the manuals. So far the only person
interested is Bill Ladd who is taking the initiative to produce something to help with the F-70 and hopefully the F75 learning curve.
I wish Bill all the success in the world with his project.
