First Silver Coin of 2011!!

You have to get a permit to hunt the state parks around here also, I'm not sure what the restrictions are, but I'm pretty sure that they allow you to hunt the beaches. Most places you can hunt on any city property, I wouldn't recommend you trying around any working courthouses or city offices, you might get some flak for that, schools are usually good to go also, ( I try to avoid them if anyone is playing there though) some people like to talk to the grounds crews to make sure that they don't mind. Just make sure that you are using proper recovery techniques and not leaving a mess. I've never had anyone give me any trouble, I've talked to a few different city park rangers, they've all been very nice, even given me some tips on places to try. A quick web search might reveal whether or not there are any city ordinances against it in your area. The best places to hunt by far are private properties. You chances of finding old coins increase dramatically. It never hurts to knock on a few doors and try to get permission, you'll be surprised how many people say yes.
