First Large cent

Its not the best of shape, but I will take it. Found with my Vision at about 10 inches with a super 12 coil and using single 2.5 frequency. The best I can tell its 1842 or 1848.
I have heard people say that Vision users arent posting many finds...I have found quite a bit just in the past few weeks.. Just having too much fun out in the field to post everything. Also, It seems this forum is mostly for talking about the vision.... Just wanted to post so people can see what the Vision can do given the right circumstances.

on the MXT-300 as well as the Vision. In the right application it is a very good coil.

WTG, Magic. This forum is definitely for sharing our finds. Trading info on the V3 is great, but, seeing what is being dug with it is the FUN part!

My back is coming along and am going to see if I can do some swinging today, at least until it gets too sore. If I dig something cool, I will post it.

Nice deep find - the few areas I been hitting lately are hard to dig after 6-8 inches in most cases.

The soil is pretty good where I am at. Not a whole lot of mineralization.

Larry, I have been detecting quite a while and this is my first. If you remember I went to Mass. in hopes of finding a large cent and came back with a 2 cent piece. Not complaining but I have always wanted to find a large cent. I think you wil find one Larry when you least expect it...I did!
