I have to say this is one sensitive detector. It was super muddy today. Actually got my truck stuck when leaving. Has been raining for over a week. But I managed some keepers. One round ball was deep. Under some roots took me a while to get to it. If you can see my finger tip in the picture the bullet is going n front of it on the side wall. Found my first wood with lead in it. Not sure if it is civil war related but is still cool. Found one round ball that has been cut to what looks like a chess piece or something. I also dug my share of trash. I going to really like this machine.

Those are some pretty cool finds Travis (y) Congrats my friend and I hope you and the family are well!

Greg

Thanks Greg. Man it is good to see you again. I found these just down the road from where you and me went detecting. You need to come and detect with me again.

Quite the maiden voyage!! You did very well. I believe you are going to love the equinox.

I think you are right. I dug one really deep bullet the first time out and some super small bits of lead and decent depth. Several buck balls off of round balls.

7CW,
What are you running for settings?

I was running field one all metal mostly. Sensitivity at 22 multi mostly. But I switched to 5 kHz when it got chatty and that is when I found the deep bullet. The ground was so muddy and I’m guessing that is why it was chatty in multi. I had sweet speed at 4. I can’t remember what my fe setting was. Two tones.

Thanks. It’s very corroded but there is one button in the picture it is hard to make it out though. I have found three there so far. I hunt all around this property and find lots of three ringers. But this place has only given up round balls. I can’t figure it out.

I was just going to text you to see if you had got it yet. Nice going on the digs. That one piece might be a CW are shotgun slug. Well done brother.
