First Fall Hunt with the XP Deus 2

My buddy and I got out to a new site we’ve researched the past year and decided to search a different section of this site in Virginia. It is so rewarding when the research pays off what the OR maps show. I finished with 7 bullets ; 4 dropped .58 and 3 dropped .58 Confederate Gardners. The numbers were all over the place from mid 50s to mid 80s, so you gotta dig all signals .

The surprise was a post Indian Wars Eagle button-was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t period but next time we’ll snag some period buttons. But the button sure cleaned up very nice with full gold gilt. Happy Hunting Deus 2 users.

Congrats Coinworld, definitely a great day! To me any pre-WW1 military buttons are a blessing, and all military buttons are a plus regardless of age. Jelly of those that live East and South, and with in descent transit times to get the opportunity to recover relics such as those on a normal basis. What program were you using on the D2?

Hi T-Dub-

I’ve been primarily using the General program and have had very good success; but I may use the Deus fast program. I always used the Deus Fast on the original Deus but do not like the square tone mono on the Deus 2-just my pet peeve lol

I have had my D2 for 2 weeks, and I have only used GP thus far. Around 30 hours on it, eventually depending on the hunting scenario, I will give another program a run. Thanks.
