FINDS POUCHES

Here is my pouch. Harbor Freight belt less than $10 and new, old camera bags I had. Carry the probe and pin pointer together. This is the second season using it. Happy Trails....Z

Here is the one I use.

I took one of these .... removed the flaps & fasteners, patched the holes with the trim from the pocket flaps, took a piece of thin leather (from the craft department of walmart) & stitched it to the lip of the main pocket to protect the fabric. Then ran a thick copper wire under the leather so the mouth of the pocket would stay open. Then I took two of these, stitched them together with a heavy cotton strap handle and temporarily wired it in place. They clip to my belt loops.

I made this because i didnt like the idea of trying to hand-clean a leather pouch. I can just throw my cotton canvas pouch in the washer to clean it (after removing the leash clips & strap they are attached to). I also wanted something I didnt have run my belt thru it to put it on. I can just clip it to my belt loops

It IS a tad small & it can fill up with trash rather quickly (especially when i dig up crushed aluminum cans & other large objects), but I have learned to live with it. I only keep my digging tool in it. My old white's pinpointer clips to my jeans poicket on the other side.

The pouch is a two pocket leather screw/nail bag (xxxxx $10.00)
The belt is leather (Goodwill $2.00)
The soil knife (Amazon $14.00)
Altogether, priceless!

Tool pouch is from Lowes.A.L.I.C.E. harness helps take the load from waist(can be used without). Most tools are modified to my liking.Brown pouch is for junk.

I ahve been using that Garrett Finds Pouch and the issue with the velcro was solved when I put that digger in the pouch. Its long enough to prevent the velcro from sticking all the time. I have no complaints with it now. I just need to get out more, but with a new born baby, its tough!

Nice set up.
