Findpoints?

Are you able to in anyway notate what type of object you found (silver coin, buckle, etc) in the CTX or when you download the way points to your computer?

There is no text function currently available for recording target descriptions on the CTX 3030 while in the field. When the GeoHunt function is active, the CTX 3030 stores your position information while you are detecting. It allows you to see a map view of the ground you have covered, and records the location, time and detector settings used. FindPoints and WayPoints stored while a GeoHunt is active are displayed and stored with the GeoHunt. You can upload your GeoHunts to your PC and view them on Google maps using the XChange 2 application (page 53). Using the XChange 2 application you can plot your GPS location data on Google Maps, add photos and comments, rename search modes and GPS data, and edit Discrimination Patterns.

I saw on the minelab sight their latest video on Integrated GPS & Mapping where Phil is saving the Findpoint before digging,& it shows the depth, ID etc., but if it wound up not being anything good, you wouldn't want to save it.
So when you save a Findpoint, are you able to do so after you dig up the item & still have all the data from the last screen shot?

I'm not sure I fully understand your questions. But when you store a FindPoint, you also record the last Fe/Co TID, target depth and the mode used when you found that target. HH Randy

I thought you had to save the findpoint when you first locate your target, since after you dig it up, the data is no longer on the screen for you to save.
I was just wondering in the case where you saved a findpoint, & the target wound up not being a good find, you would not want to have it catalogued into your findpoints for the day. So in that case you would just need to delete it.

Correct! If you don't want it, just delete it. HH Randy
