Finally took the SEF 12X15 for a short spin today

for a very short trip with both new coils and as soon as I got there my daughter kept ringing my phone and text messaging me that she wanted me to help her move some stuff into her new duplex. I told her to give me a little diggin' time as I had just gotten started. I didn't do much good there on button hill and the guy at the big house on the hill invited me to hunt the yard but it was really trashy as I suspected. I found some change and one wheat penny then it rained like hell!!! I got to hunt a total of 1&1\2 hrs. altogether. I haven't been doing much diggin' at all due to both ears having bad infections in them and I can't seem to get them cleared up!!! I've even been on antibiotics. Doesn't help working 10 & 12 hour days with earplugs crammed in them either!!! Hope you have been doing some productive diggin'!!

With the ear infection, been 2 weeks but getting better now, Just had it in one ear though. Have dug a few minies, round balls, camp lead, grommets and a bunch of shot gun hulls. I got a big coil for my Whites, the super 12 and I'm going to try it out maybe in a couple of weeks, I think it will do good at Shipleys if I can ever get back there, I know we missed a few along the way somewhere. I've been diggin a little at Rheatown with Mike. We got permission to hunt that horse field right behind where where y'all found those dropped minies in the lower field. I got one minie out of there and a ton of trash. There's a big black horse there that is mean, that rascal chased us across the pasture kicking and biting at us the whole way. Had to dive under an electric fence to get away from him, More extreme detecting. We didn't get to hunt the whole property though so they might be some more in there. I think Fisher finally got my detector fixed right, It's quite now and very stable. You'll have to hit it with us this fall when the hay is down, we hit it right after a cut and Mike said it's getting pretty high again. We've been finding bullets, round balls and camp lead in the field below that high knob we detected this spring, just across the road from where we parked that day. With all the camp lead thats comming up I'm figuring that maybe they spent a night or 2 there so it may turn out good. Mikes hunted it a time or two since we located the area and has got some drops and fired bullets there. Hope your ears gets straightened out and you get some time to detect soon. It's been too long buddy, we need to get together for another hunt soon. Flipper out.
