Haven't been able to do any diggin' due to some ear infections that just don't seem to want to go away. I couldn't stand it anymore so I took the SE & the SEF to a local park that has been really hammered like all typical town parks. I've personally hit this park with 7 different detectors including the EXP II and the SE. Well I only had about an hour til dark so I started off with a few settings of my own and some that Bryce and JD from the Explorer forum suggested I try since I'm usually set up for hunting CW relics in the woods and fields. Well the first 40 minutes didn't start out so well as I dug junk, shredded pop & beer cans, pull tabs and some rusty iron & nails that had giant halo's from the heavy rain we got yesterday. As the mosquito's started to carry me off( even with bug spray on!! ) I started walking out of the park and got a really loud and clear silver hit at around 6" deep. As I was digging the hole I throwed the plug over and the signal was still in the hole and was louder. I took my fingers and started cleaning out the bottom of the hole when I saw the tale tale signs of silver. It ended up being a first coin with the coil and my very first silver half. I have a large pile of old coins and silver coins but this is my first silver half!!! WOOOO HHOOOOOO!!!! Now if I can just find that elusive silver dollar & gold coin I'll be happy!! Well here's some pics of the coin in the hole, on the new coil and cleaned up. Oh, and I found a wheat cent(1939) and some clad before I had to run from those skeeter bugs. :)
