My sister & I found this beauty last Saturday at a local park. We've only been at this for 3 months and we could not believe what we had found. We started out at a local school found a few coins and some junk. We considered calling it quits then decides on hitting a local park that I had been wanting to go to. Our first dig was 4 nickel all in one hole. We thought that was fantastic. We kept digging at everything and then we came across the GOLD!! Check out the pics!! It's a men's 14k gold with a sapphire surrounded by 18 small diamonds.

That's what keeps us digging through the pull tabs and bottle caps. Very nice find.

WOW!!! thats a big one.Congrats on the gold.Once MD gets in you're blood it's hard to get rid of.& thats Ok:thumbup:

My sister uses a Discovery 1100 and I've got a BH:bounty: Lonestar. Her Discovery is the one that picked up on it beeping in on Mid Range. My BH beeped in as Scrap which my Gold Range. It was about 4" deep. Not deep at all. Anytime we think we have something we always go over it with the other detector. Maybe with this find we can upgrade our detectors.

Took it in to a jeweler on Sat, he confirmed the diamonds & Sapphire are real. We'll have the full appraisal by midweek.

Sweet ring! It is nice an big! Looks to have some good weight to it. Congrats on the find, Beale.

Ok everyone, just picked up the appraisal today. The rind was appraised @ $2250.00. Not too shabby for a Saturday afternoon. Since this is our first major find I have a few questions on what I should do with this ring. What would a jeweler offer me, 30%, 40%, 50%? Anyone have any experience with reselling their jewelry. How about E-Bay? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Happy Hunting All!
