Man, it has been a LONG winter around this household. I finally found a couple hours to hit an old farm site with the X-70. Managed to dig a couple IH cents, an old Lincoln, a Merc dime, an 1861 Swedish 2 Ore bronze coin, a couple buttons marked POLICE, an Eagle button, an old cuff link, an aluminum trade token and a large good luck token dated 1910. Thought I had a silver dollar with that one! Gosh it felt good to be out detecting! A bit breezy with a storm front moving in. But all in all, not a bad way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon. HH Randy

I like the bronze coins... they hold up well :) Nice police buttons and some silver mixed in...

Anyone wuld feel good about that hunt :)

I'm glad you were only able to get out for a couple of hours. You probably wouldn't have had enough pockets if you had stayed out any longer!!!
 
Way to go Randy, man that was a long winter,I was so glad to see it end.I enjoy tokens because they are so unique.Great finds.

Wow, couple of hours eh? I'd consider myself lucky to score all that in a couple of MONTHS! The 1910 medal looks like an Excelsior Shoe/Boy Scout Advertising medal My wife got one last summer.

thanks for the PM regarding the Police Buttons. I'll try to clean up the back of these and decipher the lettering. As to the reason you are finding a few wheats, the answer is in your avatar! :rofl: Just kidding, but couldn't resist! HH Randy
