A chance to hunt a four generation farm yesterday that my brother and I have been working on for about six months. It started out at daylight and where we thought was one of the original house site based on information given to us by a great, great grand son. We were later told where the actual site was and the hunt was on!! After a few hours I managed 15 wheats, two silvers and a 1877 Grant presidential token. I initially thought the token was a large cent but couldn’t be sure because it was soooo crusty. My brother left there with twenty wheats, five war nickels. We both found tons of old iron such as hoes horse bits ect. We even found a couple of spoons. Plenty more to come as we’ve learned that there is an original house site on the far side of the farm that dates to early 1800.
