Finally found a gold coin.

Awesome! I've seen pictures of gold coins made into jewelery found at the beach, but to find an obvious drop is off the charts. Really nice find.

Those coins really look nice right out of the ground !
I have been lucky enough to have found 2 over my 30 some years of hunting and one hit like a nickle and the other was stuck to the back of a 1853 Seated
Quarter and I thought it was going to be a silver dime when I dug it up !

Headed back to the same site in the morning. Hoping to find the quarter eagles big brother. This location has a lot of targets that could be gold. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :thumbup:
