Had to make a trip to the daughters over the weekend, it was 65° there!! Came home mid day Sunday to find 53° and a Winter Weather Advisory for home 😳. Forecast is for a coating to .1 inch tonight into tomorrow. Not raining now and temp 43° so grab everything and head back to the old city park. Had the 6” coil on the Legend so figured I would work in the area where the other older coins had popped up.
Wandering pattern and hit a dime signal so pulled a clad up and then started a grid around that find, dug 45 cents clad.
Hit another 46-47 and dug a silver small ring but couldnt tell if 925 or not. Then what I think is probably a bent up dangling earring. Then nothing for a spell.
Phone goes off for a text so check that, (see general interest forum) my 2023 Ram 2500 Bighorn has been shipped and on its way to the dealer, expected April 11th!!! Did the happy dance and if anyone was looking probably figured it was some new metal detecting pattern…..
Settled down and low and behold dug up a 1957 quarter. Life is getting good!!!! Then, dug what looks like a dateless Buffalo. Old park is still alive….
Get home and was able to bring up the last two digits of the year on the Buff, “20”. The little ring is a junker as was the earring. So all in all it was a decent outing.
Now its 38° and looking like its probably going to snow.

Congratulations on the 2023 Bighorn and the 57’ quarter!!

Had a 2001 Dodge with the 5.9 Cummins, 235 hp and 480 torque. Loved the 5speed manual but she needs a lot a TLC and the youngest boy can do that (diesel mechanic). New Cummins is the 6.7, 370 hp and 840 torque. Gonna be a whole new lifestyle with this big bird!!!

Running on M3 with Sens at max. Had BC set at 3 and did not hit a single bottle cap in an area we know has them (unless we dug em all up). Slow going but 6” seems to get inbetween stuff better.
