fields still wet so back to the worked out church campgrounds...again

Got the itch...couldn't hit the fields so back to the over worked, coins long gone , church camp.
Decided to do the war nickel thing so I made a pattern for nickels only and gave it a go.
Now I and many others have searched this place a million times...maybe more.
Guess what? I got one ! 2 hour hunt just for nickels !

awesome, I'm interested in your nickel pattern... E-trac I'm assuming? In the past i have found war nickels at a soild 15-15.. and worn shield and V's at 09-10 how much are you opening? I run a version of the Bill S trashy park with nickels opened a bit, and a few numbers disc'd out... thanks!

Nickels , especially war nickels , are all over the place....you have to find a pattern you are comfortable with and go with it....
from the net .....12-14 for modern nickels...however I have hit some buffalo nickels at 22-10...and war nickels have been found at 13 to 21...some in the 30's and some in the 40's

You just have to play with nickels found from your hunting area. I would not even try to give you a pattern on those crazy nickels !

it was a strange thing...some hit at 13 co, some at 19 co....crazy nickels !

There is a whole lot of testing and using different settings that goes into finding these coins in a worked out area like that campgrounds.
It is a bunch of work and multiple hunts like these that makes taking the time to do it worth while....at least I think so !
