here is my take no 2 people are alike and no 2 CTX ARE ALIKE water hunting and ground hunting are the same but diff. if you know what i mean
there are so many things that make your ctx do what it does damp or wet ground - dry dry ground- good soil hot soil - how much disk you are useing
and target sep. the list goes on i am on my 2nd ctx myself and this one is hell on wheels my 1st. one was a big lemon wen a co. makes thousands
of detector there is going to be some out there that are better then others no questions!!!!!!!!!! but it happens in all co. minelab like any other co.
has issues with some detectors so wen someone tells you to try something it may not work like you were told but does not mean your detector is
bad it my be your area it takes in all the ground cond. and gives you back what it can for the conditions if you know what i mean

I agree with not 2 exactly the same.

I think I have one of the 1st ones it shipped to me before release date so I got it on release date I notice that dealer doesn't do minelabs any more not sure why but that's besides the point.

I never had any of the issues other guys had with strange stuff happening that I can remember.

I do remember finding silver with other stuff in the hole early on and not so much after the update not sure what's going there ?

last time I took it out I did pick a silver out of a iron signal was just a little blip with heaps of blue in the corner using FC so who knows and I am doing this in the dark so maybe there was something else in the hole

anyway seen your post on the other thread next time I go silver coin hunting I might do a bit of flicking through modes on a iffy one see what it looks and sounds like

always open to try new things if I have learnt one thing if I get locked in to one style of hunting I will only find what that style finds.

but I do like FC so moving from that will be a change of thinking more than what the machine is doing

glad to post things up if i can help 1 person i have done my job! i have seen 1st. hand what the CTX can do i have spent many hrs. playing and
know it gives you many options to try. from modes to tones disk. pattern and many more. open your self up to the CTX try diff. things and you
will be 1 of the best!!!!!! i have studyed thousands of signels and now know its lingo pritty good. am i an expert (i wish i was) no but maybe
someday. most people spend 40+ hrs at work i do this with the CTX week to week unless weather or something more important comes up.
so if i can help someone out just ask if i dont know i will find out!!!!!

yep time behind the wheel is something no one can buy only time and hard work, so yep a few things for me to try, I don't use it that much these days but when I do it finds me something nice, spots with old coins are pretty worn out around here and are few as well, but yep there is still stuff there but I save it for when I want a change from digging pulltabs looking for gold with the more lighter machines.
