Fair weather at the Yankee campsite.

Hello all! The weather finally started shaping up here in MO, and the ground is thawed in all spots. I decided to take advantage of a few free hours, so I headed out to a Yankee long-term campsite that I love to hunt. This is the "hunted out" site that many of my recent relics have came from. Most of the goodies left are elusive, but I did manage 14 pieces in almost 3 hours of swinging. I got a mix of .69 round dropps, one .58 minie, some small balls, something that could be a ramrod tip, and one "I" cuff button. Look forward to heading back out there the next time I get a few hours off, weather permitting of course.

I also posted a recent hunt in the CTX forum where I got some relics along with more modern coins. This was at two sites that have both modern silver and Civil War relics Here is the link: http://www.findmall.com/read.php?86,1854455

Thanks for sharing the Video Bryan

Nice recoveries! I can't wait for the weather to cooperate so I can get my brandy-new CTX out into the field. Lots of "hunted out" sites that need some attention.
