fair ground finds

Wish we could get into the county fair grounds here, but they lock everything up as soon as the carnival people pull out. It is completely fenced in!:veryangry:

they let us dig as long as you fix your holes . but alot of peaple hunt it

thanks oldranger ya that will do it. this spring some guy left big huge holes like he could't find what he was lookin for. his holes were giant and that's when the caretaker told me to just fix my holes and he didn't care how deep i dug. as long as i fixed my holes . i explained i didn't need to dig big holes and fixed them . ya it was some guy up there just fling dirt everywhere and never fixed them at all. one guy will ruin it for everyone.

You are right, one bad apple can make the whole barrel appear to be rotten. Your taking the time and filling in your holes and his holes speaks well of you and your dedication to out hobby. WTG.
 
Speaking of bad apples, how about when you dig a hole that looks like it has been dug before, and you find junk metal that the last person just re-buried? That chaps my hide.
 
Great seated dime! I've been waiting for one of those for a long, long, time. Years and years. Maybe today is the day.

I don't find many Indian Heads either. It's all in my site selection. When I go to really old sites I find them. At my normal sites I don't. It has even been years since I found a Barber Dime. In fact, the last one I found I gave to the home owner and shortly after that I pretty much stopped hunting old houses.
