Fail to Pinpoint On End Coins

One thing I have noticed on my new CTX is that On End coins do not pinpoint well at all. I still get good signals when turning and both ways but, if this was my Deus, if I missed pinpoint, it is almost always trash. On the CTX it seems the On end coins always project to one side. I hunted a place that is very old and found very little due to a couple club hunts being held here. I moved to the edge of the road where I started getting good signals but almost all were on edge and hard to find. Is this normal?

daddyflea, I noticed on the Equinox 800 with the 15 in. and the 10x5 coins on edge seem to hit off the edge of the coil. with the 6in. and stock not so much. I usually do wiggle back but lately I use the onboard pinpoint function for 2 reasons, one to size the target and two to see if the pinpoint is the same as where I hit the signal. If it ain't most times junk. The Legend with the LG30 coil pinpoint is off by a bit, with the LG24 right on. Now the Manticore with the 9in. coil the target seems to be at least 4 or 5 inches to the right from the sweet spot on the coil. Not sure if its the machine, the soil or me. Good luck. Mark
