F75LTD with DST and 5" coil is a deadly combo!!

Thanks 88, I used the 5" coil today, it is hard to get use to. Almost like nothing on the rod. Thanks for the info. flintstone

Hi Morgan,
Between the 11" Biaxial DD and the 5x10" DD and the 10" elliptical concentric, I use the 10" elliptical concentric where I need better discrimination stability. So where I need better Id or should I say, a finer target id, I prefer the concentric. When I care more about ground coverage than precise target id, then I use the DD. And you know, really,,,how often do your really need better target ID than you normally get from a DD? One is with flat iron or tin or those flat composites like bottle caps. Another is when working in the ferrous/non-ferrous boundary line. But the rest of the time, the ground coverage of the DD outweighs the finer discrimination/target ID ability of the concentric. My thought anyway.

My take on the little 3x6" elliptical concentric.....it that its a gold prospecting coil. If you hunt tiny low conductive targets with the F75 you would want this coil. If you don't hunt tiny targets then you are probably better off using the 5" DD.

Dave J makes gold prospecting equipment. He may dress the F75 up in a general purpose detecting feature set but the engine under the hood is a gold prospecting engine. The 3x6" concentric coil is designed to work with that gold prospecting engine that is the core of the F75.
