F75 Postponed again! Problem with the GB Tuner program?

after getting disconnected twice, then got voice mail????? left my number to try to find out if the post is true.. really getting concerned on this end about FISHER as I have waited for the F-75.,ready to buy one . Hope it is not true,,hope I get a return call......SOOOOON

is Fisher announced a release date. If they had not had done that. This would all be a non issue. I think Fisher wants to be sure they have all issues solved. There will be a lot of judging going on when it does hit the market.

my faith in the new Fisher manufactuer.. hope not in vain.. I agree they should not have given a name or release date for the latest model.,but they did and they will have to live with that decision..Maybe it will be worth waiting for ,maybe not???????.. Time will Tell......HH

And for years have built really great detectors.
Here's what I know and I know it for sure.
Everyday Ebay sells Fisher detectors from the past and Fishers hold there value really well.

CZ detectors are selling for more than T2's are. Now what does that tell you! Fisher sold out to
FT and FT has decided to carry the Fisher line.

The F75I believe will be a great detector, it won't please everyone. And a lot of people on here will buy one just to review it for others.

Don't lose faith in the New Fisher Company.

Dave Johnson makes a really great detector. I wouldn't be surprised if it eats the T2 alive. But your going to find out that there will be those that want to bash it. Especially on the boards! Many won't spend the time to learn it and will give up way too early, even before they fully understand how it works.

Most that purchased the T2 last year will tell you they are still learning it every time they use it. While they are making great finds each day so are older detectors. But have faith in the fact that when they do have it right it will be here! And like in the past Fisher Users will jump all over it cause if you've used Fishers in the past your hooked anyway! They are great detectors!

Keep the faith...and if you have your order in already be glad you'll see yours first! Some will be waiting while your hunting!

Now let's go detecting!

I can't image having that kind of circuit problems, that Dave Johnson wasn't aware of when he designed it. Thats why I think your mis-informed. Of course in this world, anything could happen, so I wouldn't be surprised.:)

As I write this, there getting ready to ship out the first prototypes to field testers. They should have them in their hands by the end of Jan.

are these finalized pre-production prototypes, as in can we expect to see a field test write up in the mags based on them? You referred to them as "first" prototypes, I hope you did not mean exactly that.

HH Tom

I sure Hope not--

Those 'field tests' are only useful for one thing- a chuckle. Ever notice the wording is exactly the same every single time- every detector. I swear the F-4 test read word for word like the id edge one. Just change the name of the detector and 'bam'- another ' test' done-

Lost treasures never met a new detector they didn't like-- even the junk made in China have no faults apparently--

Jack diggen it in AZ

Texas knew the T-2 had several circuity problems. The new T-2 or Fisher 74 will have a lot of old Fisher engineering in it and should make it good detector.

Yes, I'm sure LT magazine will get one to review. But, will be interesting to see if they utilize active detectorists and former Fisher promoters like nasaTom, B. Ladd. I saw Mr. Ladd announced on here he did his last advertisement, but I would think 1st Texas would should continue with them to show they believe in the 'new' Fishers too? Or will they go in a different direction? Time will tell.
Cheers,
Liam P.

don't have the t-2 yet but from what i've been reading the model you got has the problems taken care of.

The T2 didn't have any problems I haeard of after the R5 release...The R6 had a features upgrade and some of the coils were tested and checked out fine!
All were returned to owners as per spec checks and Great finds have been posted!

All info that get shared is fantastic....If for nothing else we find out who to believe and who no to believe right?
