F75 Mono Tone

That's good to know. I actually have a F70 rather than a '75 and I was contemplating a DD coil for it. Now I have the small eliptical and stock concentric.
I'm assuming single tone on the 70 is like the 75.

I am sure it is just the first tone and ground bal by pin pointing a clean area of dirt. Don't hold the trigger too long because it shrinks the target. Just keep pulling the trigger till you find some good ground if only a small area. If you can't find clean ground move to another spot a few feet away.

Just take it slow and dig the good one tone rotate and if it breaks up it must be iron. If you are in any area even parks dig the vdi you like or if relic hunting you have to dig almost all good hits. I pulled out a spoon ring (silver) and a silver bracelet. I was cherry picking hits of
69 and above. I was out for about two hours and my holes were about 5-6 inches. One tone disc from 5-7 and a sens of 60-90 or higher if you can...Use you pinpointer to find clean ground and fast grab. Good luck!

Hey John,
I just got my 70 and I'm trying to learn all I can. Are you looking to do mono tone with the F70 stock concentric coil or do you have the big DD?

w

I have the F75 and a DD but I used my friends concentric coil and did't like it for relic hunting but loved it for park and school (turf) hunting.

If you hunt in 4 tone not 4H the F75/F70 in turf hunts like a CZ3 you have to have disc on 0 so a lot of noise is going to hit your ears but just dig the high tone and the next lower tone..You have to try and set your sens as high as you can. Now you are going to hit some bad targets but if you are in an area with old coins and tokens you will have a better chance. See what works..I would rather have a DD if I could only have one coil and then at parks and schools and turf I would hunt one tone disc of 4-7 and a sens of 60-85 for Calif. The F75 is so fast. I am starting to hunt everyplace in one tone DD you hear a lot because you don't get different tones so you have to look at your VDI alot but man when you learn that trick you can clean up even in ground that has a lot of iron.

Yeah it is like a UFO it sees stuff others can't? But I am sold and I will make a video of my Castle Hunt ASAP.

I can chime in on this one. I found a '53 Wheat penny at a Tot lot yesterday @ about 6 inches. I was using monotone. It surprised me how deep the penny was. The signal was VERY clear in all 4 directions. Locked onto the penny to dime region. Bounced between 60-70...Really surprised me.

Plus, maybe I'm kinda old school listening to 1 tone so many years with X-series units. Sometimes adding the low for iron is kinda nice at certain sites, but I'm not a big fan of anymore than 2 or 3 tones. The Low-mid-high of a CZ I got usted to nicely & also the high tone of a Coinstrike I can really pick out as well. But gimme one tone & an ID # anyday, and that's fine with me :)
HH,
Bill

Yeah you are right I am from the no school hunted in the city didn't know anything learned the hard way. But I was so lucky and always found silver just was meant to be. Now I love one tone and that is the way I hunt and it has payed off. I was thinking about a used coinstrike as a back up to the F75 I have the F5 but I am not sure if I really am in love with it, it is more of a keep in the truck and if I find a place I have something to use.

I would think it is mostly where you are hunting.Out in the woods with no tabs, one tone would be used. In a pulltab infested park if you used one tone and hunted in zero discrimination you may have a problem......Jack

No in a park it is one tone disc of 6 that doesn't change full of pull tabs or not what ever you like is what works for you.

I also use Delta pitch alot with great results Coinshooting. When i coinshoot with the F75 I like to dig the higher tones. Next time you guys coinshoot give Delta Pitch a try. I bet it will surprise you.
Here is my last Sundays dig. This is the nickels, dimes and quarters collected from about 3 hours. Not including the Pennies. It wore me out.

We tried delta pitch and for relic hunting it won't work...we are looking for a lot of different VDI anyplace from 20-90 the dime I found from 1862 was hitting at different VDI on delta pitch the tones were all over the place on one tone it hit 80 with a solid tone. This is the best way to hunt for me and Nasa Tom says the F75 for relics and iron is designed for one tone to help unmask iron. You have done a great job with your method

Mono tone with disc at 6 is the way to hunt field sites.
I use an F70 with the 11" DD coil.
I set program 2 at 0 disc with 4H tones and check each good monotone signal.
Hunting old field sites is kind of like musky fishing---You might not get a lot but the few finds you make can be impressive.
Today I found an 1890 Indian head and an 18K gold ladies wedding band at an 1890s field site.

THE WAY I UNDERSTAND IT TRY 4 TONE NOT 4H AND A DISC OF 0 AND HAVE YOUR SENS AS HIGH AS YOU CAN GET IT... OR MONO TONE AND A DISC OF 5-7 ON THE THE FIRST TONE AND A SENS THAT IS STABLE.

NO THERSHOLD ON THE F75 IN MONO TONE BUT IF YOU ARE HUNTING WITH THE F70 USE 3-4
