F75 compared to other detectors?

POOF and now we are in the Metal Detecting Forum.

LOL!!

Anytime a topic starts up with post that encourage brand comparisons or the topic turns that direction and its in a brand specific sub-forum it gets deleted or moved to the this sub-forum "Metal Detecting" where more open conversations about different brands are allowed, to a point! if a lot of brand bashing starts up the topic will most likely get LOCKED, or deleted.

The reason for that is pretty much ALL the major brands are pay sponsors to Findmall, they pay, we use the forum for free!

I knew that this thread was in likely trouble just by its subject heading, "F75 compared to other detectors?"

I have a F75 SE that I had updated to the DST. I've tried different modes while relic hunting. I use all metal mostly and use the VID to decide what to dig. Even after the upgrade the F75 is to erratic to use in many spots and as of late I've been using my T2 SE coin hunting .. it's non DST and is much less erratic than the F75 or even my AT Pro. I use the stock coils on these detectors. I do have a 15" for the F75. I plan on using it in the winter or spring to relic hunt my spot when the briars and poison ivy isn't a problem

You most likely do this but I will say it just in case you haven't. I am running the F75 upgraded and I use the frequency shift and most of the time that will take care of the chatter.

Ron, I have done that and reduced sensitivity .. sometimes it may get a little better but won't eliminate the chatter. There a city park near by that I go to to search the volley ball area.. I can't use the F75 or AT pro there.. I'll use my T2 or 1266x or my Garrett Freedom II

Check and make sure your coil is screwed into the receiver head good. I was hunting one day and having severe interference. I was about ready to wrap it around a tree and discovered my coil lead was loose. When I tighten it up it stopped immediately. It's worth checking.

The bigger the coil the better it will pick up EMI.

I'll check it out next time I use it when it's erratic
