F 70 or Cortes

AW SHUCKS, WILLIAM JB---Stick around------I know a guy in Canada that's got over 40 detectors (at the same time).--And how about that guy on the classifieds here awhile back that showed a picture of his detectors (it would have taken a barn to hold them). I'm just having fun with you!-----Seriously one of the best old timer detectorist I've ever known once said: if your using more than 2 or 3 detectors for any one style of hunting-you're probably not getting the best results you could be getting.--And there's a lot to be said for that.------Del

thanks for the input jim!..did you have good luck with cz-3d before you got the 75?..do ya think the 75 is superior in trash than the cz-3d?..

I've had two cz's, the 5 and now the 3d, and both are great detectors. The 3d is a terrific detector and I have made many good finds with it. I do like the lightness of the F 75 and its rapid target response. Quite honestly, j.t., you wouldn't go wrong with either one. Just have confidence in what ever you swing and learn it well. hi jim!
yes i know because i had a cz-6a when they came out in '92,and it did a good job on coins!..just curious about the cz-3d as i have never owned one!..what are the major differences between the 75,and the cz-3d?..you say that you prefer to use the 75,as opposed to the "d"..any particular reason why?..thanks!

the F 75 gets near or equal depth, as mentioned, is light weight, grease lighting target response, the DD coil gets terrific target separation and has several modes to select from, depending on what you searching for and type of site. The cz3d in the hands of someone that has learned it, is truly deadly, though. HH jim tn

thanks jim!..it seems the "d" apparently has some tuning issues as admitted to by it's creator "nasa tom"!..i wanted to go after one,but these revelations are making me nervous,as i understand the detector needs to to be sent somewhere to be tuned!..ideally by tom himself!..any way it is a moot point as i went ahead and bought a f-75!..got the small coil too!..we got 350 years of history around here, and i am hoping my "gamble" will pay off!..gonna hit all the old sites i,and others have slammed for years!...hope i get lucky!..thanks for the input!

The cz-3d has had no problems, some may be tuned a little different but all in all it has had no recalls and is on of the deepest detectors around. On the other hand the f75 is a good unit but it has had some problems with interference, you cannot hunt near power issues. Also it also has had a recall. Its not built like a tank like the czs are, some problems with the box getting to lose on the rod,but all in all its a good detector. All detectors has their issues. The f75 is no deeper than the c3,but it has more features than the 3d,and a bit lighter..Also the 1200 series detectors are also as deep as the f75.With all the new tech out today you would think the new detectors would be better than the old style detectors.
