Explorer XS and SE

Aforementioned detectors along with several more are competent units and only as good as the competency of the user. As far as the low price on the XS Bob hit the nail on the head. No brainer to buy as cheap way to try the Explorer and either sell or move on as like everything else an Explorer or for that matter a DFX is not for everyone but many excell with either..

I've used the DFX for over three years in a large park in Brooklyn, NY. I have found lots of barber dimes, 7 or 8 seated dimes, one half dime, mercs, one half reale, 100's of indian heads, 7 or 8 2 cent pieces, ect. That being said, I have friends all with the Mine Labs, and though I have improved alot with the DFX, on their best days, they have out performed me. I will pick up a Mine Lab sometime soon. The DFX can be a very complicated machine. Desmond in Brooklyn, NY

Whhich is more accurate for detecting gold rings and silver rings and not digging up too many pulltabs? The SE or the DFX?

I have both and I'd say they're about the same with a slight edge to the DFX, but very slight.
