Question
Has anyone else experianced depth loss in pin point mode. I detect a signal in decriminate selectto pin point and hear nothing .I always thought you had greater depth penetration in all metal. <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

Hey Jack,
I have experienced that too. So I just estimate the target position while in smartfind mode. I just try to isolate the target to the forward 1/3 of the 10.5" coil.

I adress the problem by pin pointing in descriminate marking where the responce stops as you move the coil backwards and then do te same at 90 degrees. My query was more to do with the power to penetrate in all metal (Pinpoint)Are other people finding this or is my detector not fuctioning properly. With my sovereign i find the exact oposite i will here faint sgnals in all metall that i can,t here in descriminate.
