EXCLUSIVE: ID Edge field test on FRL web page :clapping:

Bill Ladd

New member
It's now available on the FRL ID EDGE web page (I can't figure out how to attach it here.......
It's an Acrobat PDF file
Hope you enjoy the read....HH, Bill

Can you select more than one notch like on the CoinStrike?

Sorry I failed to mention this in the test. But, I think you are limited with one at a time with the Edge. Since there's not enough room to seperate 'em all (or put all the squares on the LCD in other words). But, maybe since like the Excel you can dial up the disc to cancel up to zinc (unlike the C$) perhaps that's enough cancel options hopefully?

that are lying on top of the ground Bill? You know, like the coins the farmers and gardeners find all over the place.:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Its not that specific. So go to cP mode and set the iron disc to your liking then go to notch and notch say.. tabs then do what ya gotta do to try and notch another zone even if it means hitting P/P and then going back into the notch menu. Like you said there's only one "slot" for the notch icon but it does not specifically say that you can't notch more than one zone under that icon. Who the H**l knows? I guess the only way to tell would be to wave someting that falls under the notches selected to see if it can actually notch more than one zone at a time. It would have been nice if the display showed zone bars or something similar.

Man I can't believe I'm finding fault with it already and I ain't even had one to try out.

They got the display to work with this detector. I thought the ID Excel was one of the finest detectors I had ever used until the display went nuts. That happened to a lot of them and killed the machine as far as I am concerned.

Let's hope Fisher took the time to get it right. If they did this machine will be a great sucess.

I will probably try one but one be one of the first this time.

That FRL could have rushed an EDGE out months ago just to beat all the copy cats to the punch....
instead they took their time, made tweeks, and "gut R Dun"....
if you liked the Excel, I'm confident you'll love this one.

But it's not a frivolous concern. If you have to "put up with" all the other trash signals in order to screen out one of your choice, then that's an issue.

for all the features of a C$ to fit into a 2.76 lb box. BUt it's an under $600. unit. I would turn up the disc to cancel all of the Mid-tones if this is such a problem. Or you can always buy a coinstrike I guess if it's such a deal breaker.....

you didn't. So a very simple question, once you had GB'ed the Edge at the the beach in the saltwater, did the Pinpoint work correctly? That is, when PP was pushed to locate the targets you buried, was the PP overloaded by the salt and not usable, or did it function correctly?

Thanks,

HH
