Excalibur reliability

borntofli,
Just spray mainly under the knobs posts-pots to keep the O-rings lubed, and the wires, anything black. This will help prevent dry rot & keep the control knobs from getting real tight when it drys out. HH

Congrats Raven! I am sure you will like your Excal very much. The Excal is my favorite machine and my Excals have found me literally thousands of keepers. Feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing your finds very soon.HH -Marc

Thanks Marc,

I wasn't planning on buying so soon, but a couple of things went my way and I had the funds sooner then I thought. I pick it up from the shop on Monday.

Service is tremendous! Just talk to the new tech mgr......John and he'll take great care of you. Had mine in just over two months ago and they re-did the whole thing for me and I had it back in two weeks.

I had mine break in 2 weeks after getting it... I got no signals or threshold, but I did get the turn on "pop". Brian from service had me send the entire unit back on their dollar and they replaced the whole thing. Brand new, no repairs, no questions asked. Had it back in 2 weeks.

I've heard stories of Minelab having crappy service, but I can't beleive someone had bad service after my super good service.

I may never buy another brand detector again... Guess I'll have to save for a Sov GT and get rid of my other 2 detectors!

Glad you got one, you won't be disappointed!

Oh yeah... get a straight shaft... it'll help lots!
