Excalibur I, II, or Whites Surfmaster Dual Field PI?

Well, then, I just plug in a new set of headphones, right? :) If the phones get snagged, the wire gets ripped on a rock, the bail breaks etc.... I think it just makes sense to be able to plug in a new set and continue with my day rather then boxing up the unit and sending it away for 5 weeks.

I used the original sea hunter pi in Oahu, during the 1980's. We, the wife and I, never used discrimination and there are lots of hot rocks. Pi is the only way to go. Most of the other guys I knew then were using the White's pi. I started out using a t/r machine and then bought the Garrett VLF sea hunter and replaced it with the Garrett pi sea hunter. I have no current experience but am convinced pi is the only way to go in Hawaii, Mike

OK, problem solved. I just bought a White Surfmaster PI Pro. Thanks all for the sugestions and info, It really helped me out in my decision for a machine. Mike, thanks for the HI specific info. Now I've got to go get this thing wet..... :)
