Excal charger..

I have my sons excal ll. I also have my old excal 1000. Can the charger for the nicad batteries on the 1000 be used on the nickel metal hydride batteries on the Excal ll.?

The Excalibur 2 comes with the same identical charger as the older excal so minelab seam to think so, not the best choice but it will do the job, will take about 15+ hours from flat as it charges at 65ma, if you have an explorer / etrac charger it will be better(100ma) although the pin is smaller and will need to be modded
