EX2 and depth

I guess you would know, after all you are the professional!! I got news for you genius, the bigger the object the deeper it will detect and in case you didnt know the cartwheel penny is about the size of a silver dollar. Did you ever hear of a halo?

And its copper, we are talking baseball size target in the ground.
18" is deep but coins have been found that deep on regular basis.

I purchased an EX2 just recently (less than a year) and have had some fantastic success. First time and find find (Factory pre-set) ever was in a playground (choose it for easier digging and speed for my first testing) and immediately got a signal that showed 12" or over - and registered a 04 28 pretty solid without too much jumping around and as a "first" find, I dug carefully and measured, and at approximately 13" - pulled up a nice 1942 Mercury Dime. There was no other signal after removal of the dime and I was checking it per every two inches of soil with the machine. The sand in the playground about 8" deep then hard packed soil underneath to the dime. Needless to say, I was impressed, and have not been let down since. I have found numerous coins at that depth and deeper and have really been surprise. Having some friends who had EX2's helped my decision for purchasing it to begin with, and have never been happier with a machine. I am a very dedicated hunter and will dig bad targets on purpose to challenge the readings while testing different settings and techiques. Also to note, I just had my first competition hunt (was a small club hunt) and won most found. Sory so much - first time at this and enjoy all your comments.

You will simply find stuff others have missed. Most of my coin finds on worked out sites are no deeper than 6 - 7 inches but others have missed the coins with other brands.

Sorry but i dont belive you. I buried a cartwheel penny at 18 inches the other day to prove if my explorer would signal it , it didnt give even a whisper. Happy hunting and may you find many more 18 inch deep cart wheels.
